QuestReview2009 Quest for Excellence Review
The Quest for Excellence was phenomenal this year. Held at the Hilton Washington from April 20-22, 2009. 2008 Baldrige Nation Quality Award Recipients, Cargil Corn Milling North America, Iredell-Statesville Schools, and Poudre Valley Health Systems all had exceptional speakers sharing their performance practices. Participants had ample opportunities to talk one-on-one with new and returning award recipients.

New Conference highlights included open-microphone sessions, a LinkedIn online forum, conference coaches for groups of 10 or more, and book signings by authors of books on Baldrige and organizationl improvement. For those unable to attend in person, there were virtual conference sessions through podcasts and webcast sessions.

"I especially  enjoyed the open mic session where current and previous award recipients facilitated topics such as: Selecting Performance Metrics & Building a Scorecard; Establishing a Collaborative Benchamarking Group for Education; Moving from Customer Satisfaction to Customer Engagement; Starting you Baldrige Journey; Preparing an Organizationl Profile; Lessions Learned on Baldrige Journey; and Writing a Baldrige Application. These sessions had brief presentations with the majority of time being very interactive with the group. I highly recommen anyone who was not able to attend Quest to register for the Regional Conference on October 2nd in Massachusetss this year. This will be an ideal opportunity for you to learn and connect with other professionals very close by at a 'mini-Quest'"
