OVERVIEW
The Vermont Program for Performance Excellence celebrates another year in recognizing the individuals and organizations who have participated in the program at the Interest, Commitment, Achievement, and Excellence Levels.
Our keynote presenter is Denis Leonard, Baldrige expert and Co-Author of The Executive Guide to Understanding and Implementing the Baldrige Criteria. Denis' address will focus on "Sustaining Baldrige Implementation". While the introduction and implementation of the Baldrige Criteria may be a challenge, sustaining excellence is the real challenge. There are dangers of letting the initial work slip away or if awards are won, 'resting on our laurels'. Stagnation and decline are constant dangers in the lifecycle of quality, the aim is to constantly energize and regenerate. There are key lessons that we can learn to ensure we sustain the Baldrige.
Other highlights of the Recognition and Award Ceremony will include a Best Practice Spotlight. Representatives from five organizations who are implementing quality practices will share their successes and lessons learned while providing an opportunity for Q&A.
