Vermont Council for Quality's 8th Annual Fall Quality Conference will be held September 27, 2011 at the Doubletree Conference Center in South Burlington.

Mark L. Blazey, PhD, organizational performance improvement expert, consultant, and author of Insights to Performance Excellence will be our keynote speaker addressing "Creating a Culture of Engagement". Other conference activities will include a "Spotlight on Quality" featuring local leaders as their share their best practices and a "Best Practice Poster Showcase" featuring professionals from local organizations as they share their tools and tips as it relates to engagement at all levels. Our last session will highlight an Open Forum where attendees will join in small group discussions with real life engagement challenges. In closing, Dr. Blazey will facilitate a townhall to listen to and address the challenges that were discussed to offer his expertise.

Mark L. Blazey is the president of Quantum Performance Group. Dr. Blazey has an extensive background in systems to drive performance excellence. He was a member of the Board of Examiners and a senior examiner from 1995 to 1999 for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Dr. Blazey served on the Baldrige Panel of Judges for the education pilot project to expand coverage of the Baldrige criteria to the education sector. He was the lead judge for the quality awards for United States Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) and the Army National Guard, as well as New York State, Delaware, Vermont, Wisconsin, and the nation of Aruba.
