Journey to Performance Excellence - Dec. 8
Vermont Council for Quality's 5th Annual Fall Quality Conference was held December 7 & 8, 2009 at the Sheraton Burlington Conference Center.
December 7th featured Vermont's Approach to Health Care Reform. Experts who are leading Health Care Reform in Vermont presented on the projects already underway in Vermont. A keynote presentation from Poudre Valley Health System highlighted "A Framework for Excellence" and how their health system became a 2008 Baldrige National Quality Award Recipient. Best practices were shared from the Vermont Health Care Reform Commission, Vermont State Representatives from the Health Care Committee, Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL), Vermont Blueprint for Health, Vermont Children Health Improvement Program, Fletcher Allen Health Care, MBA Health Group, and Susan Besio, Director of Vermont Health Care Reform.
The Journey to Performance Excellence on December 8th featured a keynote presentation from Poudre Valley Health System - a 2008 Baldrige National Quality Award Recipient. George Hayes, President and CEO of Poudre Valley Health System's Medical Center of the Rockies highlighted their Baldrige Journey to Performance Excellence. Other highlights of the conference featured Vermont Leaders as they shared their best practices and lessons learned on their Baldrige journey. Additional presentations included quality professionals highlighting resources available to help organizations improve their performance.
